Henry has been summer camp director and a 2nd grade teacher. He currently spends his time as the Local Mission and Outreach Coordinator for Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Program Director for Friendship Gardens and Daddy to Jack Henry. He is a local food advocate, father, husband, garden nerd, worm composter, and backyard chicken raiser.

Kathy’s experience as an applied anthropologist has ranged from needs assessments, to talking with farmers about soils, to public speaking, to sampling local foods in far off places. In addition to supporting garden leaders, teaching workshops, and creating a revenue-generating product line as the Garden Development Director for Friendship Gardens, she writes about environmental issues and teaches yoga and meditation.

Ryan has a background in recruitment, consulting, and volunteer program management at the nation’s largest volunteer organization. He currently splits his time between recruiting for a large non profit, editor for TheTinyLife.com, Manager of Cook’s Community Garden and Director of Education for Friendship Gardens. He works to promote small sustainable housing and the local grassroots food movement.
